Description

Properties of the Agate: Agates can show various vivid, multiple colors. These are principally the result of traces of oxides of iron, manganese, titanium, chromium, nickel, and other elements. These stones are formed in gasps and cracks in a range of rocks. They also appear in hollows formed by gas bubbles in volcanic rock; the bands are from microscopic crystals of quartz. Agate is a grounding and stable stone, stabilizing the Aura, a soothing stone that provides confidence. It enhances concentration and an appreciation for life in general. In ancient China, Agate was believed to purify the mind and energize a person’s chi. Agate is also known to stimulate the digestive system.
